Jammed Blocks is a minimalist, intensely satisfying spatial logic puzzle where your only tool is percussive persuasion. You don't drag or rotate the blocks; you must shock the system, using cleverly placed taps to send waves of force through the grid and knock the one key piece free. You face a compact, often symmetrical arrangement of colored blocks within a bordered grid. One block—the "Key Block"—is highlighted. Your goal is to remove it from the grid. The catch: blocks can only move if there is an empty space to slide into. In a jammed puzzle, there are no empty spaces. Every square is filled. Your action is the "Force Tap." You select any block on the grid and tap it. This block does not move. Instead, it transmits force in the direction you tapped. If there is a line of blocks behind it, the force travels through them until it finds the edge of the grid or the Key Block. The last block in that line is the one that will attempt to move, but only if it can be shoved into an empty space... which doesn't exist. So, you must create space through chain reactions. The genius is in the domino-like physics. Tapping a block on its left side sends a shove to the right. If the block on the far right is against the grid's border, it has nowhere to go, so the force is "stored." But if you then tap a different block to create a single empty cell somewhere else in that row, the stored force can be released, causing the entire line to shift one space, potentially unjamming the Key Block's row or column. Puzzles start simple but quickly evolve into devious brain-teasers. You'll encounter immovable black anchor blocks, two-tone blocks that only accept force from one color side, and direction arrow blocks that change the path of your force tap.
