You are the owner-coach-pit crew of a Metal League franchise. Your players are Mecha-Players, towering robots designed for specific, exaggerated roles: the Crusher (a linebacker/tank hybrid), the Streak (a receiver with jet-assisted speed), the Cannon (a quarterback with a literal arm-cannon), and the Anvil (an immovable offensive lineman). Before each play, you customize your mechanoid's loadout—reinforced plating, thruster boots, hydraulic fists, or sensor-jamming smoke—tailoring them for the upcoming down. The gameplay is a chaotic, physics-driven spectacle. On offense, you control the Cannon (QB), aiming and charging throws with a power meter, trying to hit your speeding Streak while avoiding a blitz from enemy Crushers. On defense, you directly control a Crusher, timing your charge to smash through the line and either sack the QB or intercept a pass by leaping with rocket boosts. Running plays become battering ram assaults, with your ball-carrier using shield upgrades to plow through defenders.
