Peet Sneak
Peet Sneak

Puzzle

Description

The mansion's halls are a gauntlet of creaking floorboards and shifting moonlight. You are not a hero, but a shadow with a sweet tooth. You are Peet, a small, barefoot creature on a desperate, deliciously quiet mission: to sneak through a sleeping giant's house and steal every last cookie from the kitchen jar without making a sound. This is a game of tense, precise stealth, where your success is measured in millimeters and decibels. The view is side-on, the art style a soft, storybook blend of cozy and eerie. You control Peet with delicate, analog-style movement. Holding right makes him tiptoe forward slowly; tapping makes him take a careful step. The core mechanic is pressure and sound. Different floor surfaces create different noise profiles: thick carpets are silent, wooden floors creak if you move too fast, and scattered toys will rattle catastrophically if stepped on. A "Noise Meter" at the top of the screen glows from green to red, warning you when you're about to attract attention. The enemy is the Giant, a monumental, snoring figure whose routine you must learn. He isn't just a patrol path; he's a living environment. He might shift in his armchair, changing his line of sight. A creak from you might make him grumble and adjust his position, inadvertently blocking a path that was open moments before. You must use the environment: hide under tables when his head turns, wait for the grandfather clock's chime to mask your footsteps, and use the swaying pendulum of a ceiling fan to time your dash across a lit patch of floor. The goal in each room is clear—reach the cookie jar—but the path is fraught with interactive hazards. You might need to slowly slide a heavy book to use as a stepping stone over a noisy floor, or gently blow on a wind chime to create a distracting sound elsewhere. Getting caught doesn't mean a game over; the Giant simply plucks you up and deposits you grumpily back at the start of the room, forcing you to relearn his new, slightly more irritated patterns. With its hushed, atmospheric sound design, painterly visuals, and gameplay that rewards patience and observation over speed, Peet Sneak is a masterclass in miniature tension. It’s for the player who loves the thrill of perfect execution, the quiet humor of the premise, and the profound satisfaction of snatching a cookie from under the nose of a slumbering giant. The house is asleep. The cookies are waiting. Take your first silent step.
